Areas of Practice

Mark practices in two broad areas: commercial litigation and insurance defense. In the commercial litigation arena, he represents individuals and both large and small companies in an amazing variety of business disputes. His typical caseload may include real estate, computer software, sports agency, landlord/tenant, partner/owner conflicts, and employment law cases. In the insurance defense arena, Mark handles cases that include negligence, inadequate security, product liability, wrongful death, defamation, pharmacy malpractice, and computer software issues.

Mark learned early in his career to use strategic thinking to shape winning results for his clients. He began his career with a large Dallas law firm after finishing near the top of his class at the University of Georgia Law School in 1985. Mark rose to become a partner in less than five years. He came to David, Goodman & Madole in 1990 and is now Head of Litigation. As a fellow business owner, Mark believes it is important to explore if a business solution is possible before both sides are buried with legal fees.

Mark was first selected by his peers as a Texas Super Lawyer in 2005, as printed in Texas Monthly, and has received this honor in each of the last eight years. Additionally, Mark was also selected by his peers as a “Top Attorney” in Texas in business litigation.

Mark takes many high-dollar cases but it’s his commitment to client service that sets him apart. “Lots of smart attorneys think they provide good service,” Mark says. “But they don’t. I visit a client’s business to see, touch and feel what it’s about. I give them my cell phone number, deliver documents personally, talk about their cases ‘off the clock’–everything possible to add value to the service I provide.”
